Heat protections for migrant farm workers

There is a high risk of heat illness for farm workers. The lack of protections pose a direct threat to Virginia workers and the Commonwealth’s economy. CVFWI is advocating for HB 1092 and SB288, which direct the Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board to develop and adopt commonsense workplace heat regulations in consultation with the Department of Labor and Industries.
